Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some frequently asked questions relating to Florida Hemp Compliance. If your specific question doesn’t appear here, please feel free to reach out to us by phone or email and we will guide you in the right direction.

How much does it cost?

A potency test typically only costs $60.00 which includes a certificate of analysis from Americanna Laboratories and Customer Portal access. Sampling fees can vary by location and the number of posts to collect. If you elect to use our monitoring program, each plot will be monitored and tested for compliance for very reasonable rate. Call now to inquire about our monitoring program.

How does all this work?

Put your trust in our hands. We work with you to set up a proper sampling plan to accomodate your growing needs and to protect your crop and investments. With over 30 years of testing experience many Fortune 500 companies trust our analytical knowledge and services.

Do I have to follow all the guidelines and rules?

The regulations established by the State are important to prevent illegal activities. As a licensed cultivator, you agreed to comply with all State regulations. But we can help!

Can I perform these tests myself?

No. To comply with Florida regulations, testing must be conducted by a Florida Department of Agrictulture approved hemp testing laboratory.

Can I collect samples to submit for analysis?

Current regulations state that only an approved Florida Laboratory employee or state or government official can collect samples for compliance analysis. Samples to be tested for monitoring or for research and development (R&D) purposes can be collected by the cultivator. Call us to discuss how to collect a representative sample.

How often should I test?

Compliance testing is only required once, within 15 days of harvest. However, FDACS  recommends that cultivators test often to monitor a plot’s THC levels. We offer a program to supply you with accurate monitoring data (R&D) to prevent your crop from going hot.

How long does it take?

When working with Americanna, you will be able to schedule a sample collection as quickly as next day. Once a sample reaches the lab, test results are typically ready within 48 hours and will be available to you through our Customer Online Portal.

What happens if your crop fails a test for THC?

If a plot fails a THC test, you can request a reanalysis. If the second test also fails, then you can request that FDACS conduct a test. If the FDACS test still fails then the Department will discuss proper disposal plan. We want to prevent that from happening. This is why we offer a monitoring program to test your crop leading up to harvest.

Who reports the result to the state and USDA?

We take care of all the “paperwork” to make you compliant so you can focus on growing your business and being successful. Our ISO 17025 accredited laboratory software system connects directly to the State to report your results fast and in the most accurate manner. Our Customer Portal offers you full transparency to your data and results. Give us a call to set up your portal today.
